The Role
The APS5 Administration Officer will be required to engage and communicate with stakeholders to identify, respond and provide advice on issues to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes. They will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.

An APS5 Administration Officer will be accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions relating to their area of responsibility. They will interpret and provide advice within the administration function based on legislation, policy and procedures. They will undertake specialist research and analysis, conduct reviews, assessments and perform procedural, clerical, administrative support work to achieve results.

About our Team
With a waterfront and office-based presence in Canberra, Sydney, Perth, Darwin, and Cairns, Maritime Systems Division is responsible for the sustainment of the Royal Australian Navy’s surface fleet. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the team in the Office of Head Maritime Systems consists of Australian Public Service and Australian Defence Force professionals responsible for supporting the Division Head in the discharge of their duties through superior levels of administrative and secretariat support.
