About the role:

Stantec are currently looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer. The successful candidate will work with a very supportive and friend team. You will also have the opportunity to growth their career with a global consulting company.

You will be responsible for:

• Management of Accounts Payable Invoice Portal
• Dealing with Portal exceptions and rejections - clearing the AP exception queues daily.
• Responsible for creation and management of New Vendor Accounts – including EFT / bank details verification.
• Invoice management - ensuring all invoices are routed to the appropriate coder for processing.
• Follow up of logged invoices and approvals.
• Resolving the vendors and end users queries and disputes.
• Monthly Creditor reconciliations
• Ad-hoc administration and general accounts-related tasks where required.
• Weekly/Fortnightly/End of month payments to suppliers.

To be successful in this role your will have:

• Have some experience in a similar high-volume Accounts Payable role
• Understanding of Direct/Project vs Indirect expenditure
• Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft excel and experience in a major accounting package (e.g. Oracle, JD Edwards)
• Strong attention to detail and a customer focus, combined with amazing communication skills
• High level of customer service experience
