The Opportunity

After Hours Disability Support Advisor (On Call)

Disability Connect Victoria (DCV) have an exciting opportunity for an immediate start for the right person, to join our energetic and supportive team. We are currently seeking 2 highly skilled staff members to join our after-hours -on-call department. The successful candidates will work from home to provide on- call overnight support to staff and clients of DCV throughout Gippsland and the South Eastern suburbs.

Shifts will cover 5pm to 7am supporting our clients and staff via the phone dealing with a range of issues from shift cancellations to emergency situations.

The number of shifts you work may be flexible to accommodate your personal circumstances.

About You

· You will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

· You will be able to stay calm under pressure and apply logical solutions to problems.

· You will be able to make sound decisions based on DCVics’ organisational procedures.

Ideally, you will have a background in NDIS, Healthcare, Call Centre Support Operations or Support Work and you will be available overnight to answer urgent calls.

Training will be provided; you will need to be available during the day for an initial training period and you will be provided with a laptop and phone.

This position would be ideal for someone who is semi-retired, student or parent looking for casual hours.
