To be a successful IKEA co-worker you will have a strong customer focus, are confident about approaching people and are driven by finding the best solution for their needs. You will be enthusiastic about working with others in a team and have the ability to work in a fast paced, hands-on environment. Your personal values reflect those of IKEA, and you have a true passion for home furnishings and customer service.
As our store trades 7 days a week you will you are required to be available to work a mix of day and evening shifts as well as have availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends, both Saturday & Sunday all day availability is required. Permanent part-time roles are available ranging from 30 to 50 hours per fortnight.
Your responsibilities
We are looking for co-workers in the following areas:
- Sales - As an IKEA product ambassador, you love interacting with customers and are confident in approaching them in a polite and friendly manner. You maximise sales by ensuring your department is clean, tidy, fully stocked and correctly priced. You have a genuine passion for life at home and enjoy approaching customers to identify their needs by asking the right questions and advising them on the best solutions for their homes.
- Customer Service – The friendly face of IKEA, you are curious with strong problem-solving skills, you are customer-centric and have a truly empathic approach in every customer interaction. You are able to quickly build relationships with others and have proven ability to be assertive and remain calm when faced with stressful situations.
